Three ways to begin
The body deserves to be understood
Transcending Touch Therapy is a therapeutic bodywork and aquatic wellness practice for people dealing with persistent muscular tension, movement restrictions, physical discomfort, and the demands of everyday life. Every body tells a different story, so our approach begins by listening.
Sessions combine focused therapeutic bodywork with an understanding of how the body moves and holds tension. Techniques may include myofascial work, targeted soft-tissue work, and assisted stretching, chosen for your individual concerns.
Through Watsu and aquatic bodywork, care can also be shaped by the warmth, buoyancy, and movement of water. Land-based and aquatic work serve different purposes, but share one principle: the experience should be adapted to the person receiving it.
Personalized by design
- Listen and understand. We discuss your concerns, relevant history, comfort level, and goals.
- Identify patterns. We explore areas of tension and restriction within the scope of massage and bodywork.
- Tailor the session. Techniques, pressure, positioning, and pacing follow your needs and feedback.
- Support your progress. Your response informs future sessions and recommendations when appropriate.

Therapeutic massage
What techniques do you use?
Sessions may include myofascial work, targeted soft-tissue work, and assisted stretching, chosen for your individual concerns.
Who is therapeutic massage for?
People with recurring muscular tension or discomfort, restricted movement or flexibility, or the physical demands of work, training, or caregiving. It can also complement a recovery or wellness plan.
Do you offer pregnancy massage?
Please contact us before booking so we can talk through your situation. If you have a high-risk pregnancy, check with your doctor or midwife first.
Is massage safe for everyone?
Massage is safe for most people, but some conditions call for changes or a doctor’s approval first, such as blood clots, recent surgery, fever, or certain skin conditions. If you’re unsure, check with your doctor and let us know before your session.
Watsu and aquatics
What is Watsu?
Watsu is bodywork done in warm water. You are cradled and floated while your practitioner guides you through slow stretches and movement. The water supports your body and takes pressure off your joints.
Do I need to know how to swim?
No. You are supported by your practitioner throughout. If you have any concerns about the water, tell us when you book.
How are land and water sessions different?
Land-based and aquatic work serve different purposes. Both follow one principle: the experience should be adapted to the person receiving it.
